John: I switch between Claria color, MIS color, UT14 and Carbon-6 pretty frequently in my 1400. The printer runs through a long head cleaning each time you park the heads to do a change and that is all that is needed. Run a nozzle test to be sure the new set is OK and you are G2G. I posted some notes on this on my blog in the tools section. remononaz.blogspot.com --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, "John" wrote: > > I'm planning to try the MIS Eboni-6 inks in my Epson 1430 based on a paper by Paul Roark. This is particularly important with wide format printers that have tubes between the carts and the heads.9 Eboni-6 and UltraChrome inks should also not mix on the parking pads. As such, rinse them before installing and do not have UltraChrome inks in the same printer as Eboni-6. > > > Does the native 1430 inkset also require flushing? > > Thanks! > > John Providenza >
