Re: [Digital BW] Google selling all Nik plugins for $149

An additional comment on this.. For those that run both platforms...Make sure you download both the MAC and PC version while the screen is up with the links on it.. Once your out of that screen you can't get back.. So that's a 149.00 oversight if you screw up.. The MAC version is quite a bit larger then the PC version.. Either version searchs your computer for all elligble plugin software locations..i.e. LR , PS Bridge etc etc.. and installs to each.. lastly their appears top be no user manuals for this new stuff on line but many video type tutorials.. but a couple of hundred of them.. These are great but a bit timely to find a quick answer if yo uneed it. A good manual is John Batdorff's "Plug in with Nik" Guide.. 19.90 @ Amazon.. it covers all the softwear included in the package.. and is quite a good reference book to use..

It seems that as a result of the Google acquisition, they are selling the entire set of plugins for $149

After writing reviews of all the plugins, I was given a 15% discount link for buying the Nik plugins (do note that it's part of my site advertising) - this now reflects the $149 offer.

You can get an extra 15% off the $149 if you follow the link at the bottom of my recent Silver Efex Pro removing halos article (it costs no more but I do get a cut ;-)

  http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_pages/photo-tips/sfx-halo.html

I use the plugins (esp. Silver Efex and Sharpener pro) a lot, and hope that this offer from Nik's new corporate overlords doesn't bode ill for the product.
