Just pondering the possibility of making a variable tone inkset for a stylus pro 7000 - 6 colours.
I've got Eboni undiluted and older colour pigments in carts from the 10600 printer.
What I'm wondering is can I do a 3 black -( one full black & two dilutions) plus one each of diluted magenta, cyan and yellow mixed with diluted black to give me smoothish tones and some colour/tone control.
I've scanned the documents Paul Rourke had published, and can't find anything that addresses this situation specifically.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but any cyan dilution should be combined in a darker back ink mix.
Magenta in something more midway - 50% or higher at least
Yellow in a light light black dilution 10% or higher.
Yellow in a light light black dilution 10% or higher.
