Digital BW, The Print

Folks

Maybe this is a stupid question...

I have an Epson 3800 that i want to put in service. I need to find  
some refillable carts for it .... i'm thinking about a $65 set on ebay  
in Hong Kong .... does anyone have any experience with these?

  I was planning on color inks and making BO quadtone rip prints with  
it. Or maybe the ABW, but i wasn't too impressed with that.

Here's the question ... can i load this machine with dye rather than  
pigment ink? if so, which dye ink set should i use?

On another front, i have WAY WAY too many desktop printers

I have some R280 and R300 and similar, all photo 6 color,  and some  
extra R2200 machines and an R2400 machine as well. The R2400 is in the  
original box, etc .... someone unknown to me added an external  
reservoir for the dump ink but the machine does not look like it has  
had very much use. I did some head cleanings and i made a couple of  
good prints with it ... it's loaded with some refillable carts and  
some unknown brand pigment ink that came with it.

The other stuff was just turned off and parked, but i can do some  
tests if you are interested in a specific machine. The heads will  
usually clean up.

i want to sell some of these printers, so please contact me directly  
off list if you have interest. I just have too many printers!!
