I am going to venture a guess that the 3000, with larger nozzles, doesn't clog as easily. My "plan B" if my 1280 ever goes out, is to beat the bushes trying to find an 3000 and run Piezo driver with either Piezo inks or MIS FS of some flavor. I really hope the 3000 continues to be available, it just seems to be a tank, can't be killed, if one can get past the paper transport problem. I'll entertain any experiences to the contrary (ie, stories of 3000 clogging on folks). Just as a general statement I am learning that printers should be used regularly, daily if possible. Two months idle may bring on trouble in the newer printers. Jim H.
