I had a serious issue with my 3880, the seal in the ink change valve was leaking causing ink blobs on the print and also it was causing the yellow to become contaminated.I changed the entire ink delivery system with no issues.Here is a small blog post of my findingshttp://www.ianbarberphotography.co.uk/epson-r3880-ink-system-repair/
