Dear B&W print lovers, This forum almost single-handedly got me up and running in 2004 when I started my first printing company (Black Point Editions) in Chicago as a 20-something. I read every single post, learned a ton, and wrote quite a few posts myself. Thank you to those who where there back then. Over time I got busy and life happened and I slowly stopped posting, but I've monitored this forum for over a decade as a lurker and very occasionally—if someone has a question and I have time and energy to answer—I'll post-back. Back in 2004 I started doing dual-quad split Piezography (actually Tyler Boley and I had settled on a very similar arrangement of inks and hues without knowing it right around then) and many hundreds of thousands of dollars in ink/paper/printers/coffee later I find myself in the peculiar position of being hired at the Piezography mothership (InkjetMall) as an R&D and their QC / support guy (only about 40mins from where I grew up in Vermont). Today was my first day. After more than a decade of fine-art printing for artists, I'm taking a different tack and will have more dedicated time to re-engage my fellow printmakers in the trenches here and elsewhere. So, I'm emailing to let you all know that I'm here to answer inquires and questions regarding >3 K systems. I understand and fully respect the egalitarian and product-neutral nature of this forum (I relied on that as an experimenter) so I'm not here as a shill or anything. (If you are a currently IIJM customer, there's an incredibly vibrant community over on that site that can peer-to-peer Piezography-specific and refillable cartridge-specific trouble-shooting questions.) As I will be doing a bunch of support and QC at IJM I won't have all the time in the world to respond to everything on this site, but I've smart-mailboxed and a few specific keywords that will get my attention and make me reply promptly (fingers crossed it's been a while). all the best and a happy 2016 to everyone!
