Thanks but I have tried the black only option and the finish just lacks
depth.
I have exhausted all the different combinations of setting up my printer
driver and got nowhere with this one photo which has a particularly dark
patch, in colour it is a dark green towel which should show black when
converted to black and white, and comes up so green under natural light that
is unacceptable ( we are preparing this for some friends down the street
having gloated about the great results we get from our printer).
It just seems from what I have read that photoshop gives better control of
the colour space mappings. Is this true or have I got something wrong.
Picture It gives you nothing.

The B&W images I get this way with the Epson Pigment Black ink look
great, reminiscent of an Ilford RC MG IV Pearl print.
What works for me may work for others.
