I always just switched the cartridges and let the printer run a normal head cleaning following the switch. If the nozzle check was good, I was ready to print. No purging or cleaning necessary.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
