I suspect this is covered in the forum somewhere but the search tools don't seem to be working right. 

 

I have an Epson 1400 that is flashing the ink and paper LEDs and giving an error message that the unit needs maintenance. I suspect it is the waste pad filling up again - I went through this several years ago. 

 

From experience I know that the pads are not nearly as full as Epson thinks they would be, but how do I clear the error? I tried using the utility I got before but it does not work. I tried downloading Epson's 10% tool but that does not work either. 

 

Any suggestions for a reliable printer reset tool?
