What are you printing on, and what are your QTR settings? Roy created the 2880 Super setting specifically for the P800 to cure this issue (the setting is also available for a number of other printers). However most people only see the banding produced by using other settings when printing on transparency. It's rare for people to report seeing it on paper. As this is a QTR related question, you may be better to ask it in the Yahoo QTR group.

Hi,

I recently bought an EPSON P800 printer. I print black and white images using QTR on this. Yesterday I noticed banding in the shadow areas. Bands (variations in tonality) were perpendicular to the direction of motion of print heads (in the line of direction of printing). I did head alignment but to now avail. Nozzles are very clean as shown by nozzle check. Any idea what might be causing this?

BTW, how do I attach a file?

Ramesh
