Austin, you can get the Foveon chip now in many 2 1/4 scanning backs, and everything I've read about them is they very much outperform film for noise, sharpness, and shadow detail. Lets hope the 35mm chip is in that class. if it is, they are going to be rich. So far, the company has a pretty good record.
