Hi Derek, It clearly IS a raw format, no doubt...I have no problem with that, but for Microsoft to claim they are "providing native support" for something that is merely the same unprocessed pixel depth as, say, our raw scanner files, seems a bit silly to me. Seems more like hype than substance anyway. What can he possibly mean by "support"? The raw image data still needs the setpoints set, and the tonal curves applied (PRNU)...and if wanted, sharpening. That seems more like an image processing program issue than an OS issue, doesn't it? What could one use the raw data for, without applying the setpoints and curves etc.?
