MIS FS Neutral and Standard Color Comparision

2002-03-22 by Martin Wesley

In the Files section I have posted a jpeg of a scan of two step wedges one printed with the MIS Neutral Full Spectrum (FSN) inks and the other with the standard or warm Full Spectrum (FSS) inks. Both were printed using the Piezo driver with my 1280 on Epson Archival Matte paper.

Look in:

Files > Inksets, reviews and techniques > MIS FS

This will give you an idea of the color difference but since there is no color calibration from my computer to yours you should look at the relative differences.

The tone ramps of the two are very close but not exactly identical with the standard FS being more open in the deep shadows. Prints made with both sets without any adjustment look equally good but the color difference is much more noticable.

I hope this will give everyone a better idea of what we are talking about with these two ink sets.
