Well... There are much more expert opinions here than mine, but if you want to eliminate metamerism you have two choices: stick to dye inks (there are a few good dye quads) or stick to pigment inks and matte papers that have been properly profiled. I've switched to MIS for much of my matte printing...using at different times the VM, FS and most recently the FS neutral and I've not seen any metamerism issues on fine art matte papers (including the very low priced Epson Archival matte). Others have used some of the other inksets from Generations, Piezo ink, etc. and swear by them. The majority on this list seem to use some flavor of MIS because they like the tone, flexibility, price or easy maintenance (it's been 100% clog free for me). You can find a lot of info on it at Inksupply.com or some on this and a lot on other inks at Inkjetart.com Cheers, Tom O'Connell TomOC@... www.thomasoconnell.com -- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@y..., "UCCalBear" <uccalbear@y...> wrote: > I have been trying to piece together a good solution to my black and white > printing for a neutral non color cast or metamerism print from either an > epson 3000 or an epson 1200.
