Sam, Having used both Piezo and Paul Roark's MIS VM workflow and having received over 100 inkjet photographs in print exchanges using many other workflows, I would say I do not agree at all. Some of the RGB seperation curves with the Epson driver actually have much better seperation in the 95-100% tonal range. The ability to get these tones seperated in your print is more dependent upon what you do in Photoshop than on any particular inks, software or workflows. All of them have the capability of producing excellent prints. > > The only reason I didn't ask Steadman after he posted in reaction to > Della is that I don't think he's tried the various MIS workflows > Della thought inferior in this regard. He remains true to his chosen medium which is a good thing. You will make more progress picking a workflow and sticking with it than you will spending all your time trying this and that like I do. <G> > > This separation (or not) of tones is a matter of fact - is > measurable? - and not opinion isn't it? When they are properly seperated you can distinguish the 95, 96, 97, 98, 99 and 100 steps. Remeber your eyes can recognize a lot more than 100 shades of gray. Martin Wesley (snip)
