Mike,

I agree with you and Ansel. The ideas he states here are critical in making
your zone placements to capture the tonal and textural range of a scene.
Although my own experience has made me place the textural limits at Zones
III and VII. I seem to preserve more detail this way. Perhaps digital offers
the possibility to expand that range in information scanned from negatives
and in direct capture.
