Oh, I entirely disagree (surprised, huh?). I WANT my prints to have a full dynamic range, or I DON'T want them to, it depends on the image. That is entirely independent of the density range...which as has been discussed, will change with put under glass... > Photography and especially digital > photography is so full of technical processes we tend to spend an > inordinate > amount of time on them and often mix them in with considerations that are > purely artistic. Believe it or not, I'm not a techno-weenie when it comes to "processing" images, in the sense that I don't do much to them...I barely use two functions in PhotoShop most of the time! Resize (no interpolation) and export. I am, though, a technical purist...as in, I pay careful attention to my processes, for consistency and quality, as well as the properties in the image that are important to me, TWO of which are density range and dynamic range ;-) Austin
