Digital BW, The Print

Does anyone use the Piezo driver and hex MIS inks?

I've seen a few posts that indicate Piezo only uses 4 inks even on 
the hex printers? 

I'm trying to figure out if a 1280 (or 1270 with name change) will 
print any better than an 1160 with the piezo driver. I take it for 
granted that the 6 inks will give smoother tones and a little less 
sharpness with the epson driver vs. an 1160?
