Digital BW, The Print

I'm new on the digital side, and I think I'm missing something. No doubt the 
FAQ will cover this...

I have an Epson 1280 and have just purchased a few MIS FS cartridges to try 
out and a sampe pack of papers (Photo Rag, Albrecht Durer, etc.) I have 
Photoshop.

My question is about software--what else do I need? Lots of folks seem to use 
the piezo driver, but I'd rather avoid that for now (due to expense, the fact 
that they don't seem to sell it separately anymore, and that they seem to be 
experiencing licencing issues with Sundance, etc). The MIS page seems to say 
that I can use the Epson driver....but how? All of the workflows, etc that 
I've seen are for older printers or the VM inks. I know I'm missing something 
obvious....help!

It looks like Paul R. and Colorbyte will be offering me options in the near 
future--is that what I need?
