I have the original Polaroid 4000 that the Plus replaced - it is by far the
best 35mm scanner for the money. At one time I was a big Velvia shooter and
the Polaroid does an excellent job with all my old Velvia chromes. The Plus
model is supposed to have an even better "D-max"* rating than the original
4000.

*"D-max" used in this case - "The scanner can record more shadow info in the
chrome." Sorry Austin!

I also have a Howtek which has an even better "D-max" and excellent "Dynamic
Range"...OK...there...I said it! Sorry Austin!
