JM: The "best" way to learn (IMO) is to start at the MIS workflow page and fully understand how the folks who donated their 4-ink lumped and partitioned workflows and curves did it. It's not rocket science, but it is a really time, ink, and paper intensive learning experience. Some folks are currently working on Epson workflows for hextone Epson printers based on the MIS FS inkset and the MIS FS-N (neutral) inkset. As an alternative, you might consider purchasing the Piezography BW cart system for your 1280 (or the cheaper 4 ink cart system which includes the drivers for all the supported printers and immediatly throw away the carts). After drying up the included carts, throw them away and purchase the MIS FS inkset carts or CFS (or MediaStreet's Niagra CIS) and use the Piezo driver. Good luck. Sorry for no short cut to bliss.
