Steve I use 2 - Epson 880 printers. One has MIS -VM inkset and the other has MIS - FS inkset. This is a 2880 printer but when you select "MATTE PAPER" it only lets you print at 1440. The results are very good. The 880 is a 4 color unit with out CHIPS on the cartridges, not sure about the 820 you are looking at. I use pre loaded carts from MIS and am now going to commit to a CIS system soon (at least on the VM inkset). Overall a great solution for smaller prints.
