A glitch hit us earlier this week. The 7000 with it's DX3 variable drop heads and stubborn personality decided to add large dots of the cyan position ink to the 30% patch of the step ramp. It looked like a fried egg after a pepper mill had done its job. Well, with Paul Roarks ingenuity we licked the problem. The latest curve is so smooth that with a 4x loupe I can not find anything that resembles a dx3 drop, dot, or drip! On another front, the Legion Photo Matte is growing on me more and moore. To MY eye, the blacks have more density, and sitting side by side with the EAM print the white color of the paper is white. EAM next to it has a greenish tint. I wish I could pass around a print. I can see no difference in quality between the MIS-Vari-Tones and the Piezo inkset. MIke
