Doug - I seem to be first to respond, but I know a number of photographers in this group are doing exactly what you want to do - my wife is also producing her own prints for everything from Weddings and portraits (which pay the bills) to "fine art" prints (which don't unfortunately). She's using both PiezographyBW and MIS VM systems and will soon replace the PiezoBW system with FS and FS-N inksets. She often prints on PhotoRag 308 for her pro work. We've had a few clogs that took a few minutes to clean with the Piezo inks and our Piezo Color system was a disaster because the inks were not ready for prime time on an Epson 1280. These have now been replaced by MediaStreet's Generations inks and the problems are gone. In other words, my experience has been that we are already there with regard to the availability of the tools and materials required. Best of luck, Shaun Granleese > Hello All, > So my question is, for a photographer who must regularly produce > high-quality B&W prints, on a deadline, with consistent and predicable > results, smooth skintones and at least the permanence of a traditional > enlarger print, is ANY form of B&W inkjet printing yet up to the task?
