Digital BW, The Print

I would think you'd be happy with the 1160 and FS (or N) inks.  Of course, I
don't seem to be as sensitive to dots as some.  However, I think the dots
that some people see with the 1160 are the toner dots with the MIS VM
inkset.  With the FS inkset, rather than toner, you have a very light gray
ink. This ink should be so light that it is invisible in the highlights.  In
fact, it is lighter than the lightest ink in the 1290 VM inkset.  I'm not
sure what the relative dot sizes are, but I think the 1160 is perhaps 4
versus the 3 for the 1290.  So, being that close, and with the FS yellow
actually being lighter, I'd guess the highlights would would be very close
to what you are used to seeing with the MIS VM in the 1290.

One advantage of the 1160 is that you can also buy a Piezo driver for it.
So, it is, arguably, a more flexible printer.
