A few specialize in photography, others show it with other arts others, not at all. Of the 6-8 purely photographic galleries showing living photographers, the biggest seller is Andrew Smith Gallery. Also not to be missed is the Photo-Eye Gallery and their nearby bookstore. (They also have a large website.) Several of the local museums have photo exhibitions. right now, the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum has a fine E. Weston show. (I think her husband was a photographer.) There are also local Colleges and workshops that put up shows and for alt. process people; Bostick and Sullivan are/is here. They supply most of the the platinum class chemicals for printers in the US and have a showroom. They are primarily wet negative people but are open to digital. To the north is Taos with it's own set of galleries. Have a great visit! Lynn Lown New Media Arts Santa Fe NM
