Digital BW, The Print

Hi I'm a new list member, a wedding and Stock photographer.  
What workflows are recommended for the Epson 1200 with 
original MIS Hexblack in CIS bulk ink.?  I can live with a warm 
tone, will be printing mostly portrait shots, but I do like a very 
deep black, and no metamerism.  
From my research of the archives and files I did not see a clear 
workflow.  I want something fairly straightforward.  
My impulse is to use the Epson driver with a greyscale TF, 
substituting the Double Density black  and stick to Epson 
Archival Matte since it is well documented.  I will also want a 
Charcoal type surface.
Suggestions or comments?
