Re: [Digital BW] PS 7 is slow in OS9

2002-04-23 by Robert Morrison

Jerry and John,

I'm not sure what the problem is that you are having. PS7 is running great
for me under 9.2.2 as well as under classic in OSX and also native under
OSX. I see the transfer function in the print preview box, when ever the
additional options box is checked. Speed is excellent...as good or better
than PS6 under all three conditions I described above. Allocating more RAM
to PS7 under OS9.2.2 improved performance...just as it should.

Sounds like you both are having a system problem that is interacting with
Photoshop. You might try resetting your PRAM (restarting while holding down
the P, R, option and command keys).

Robert

PS John, I would strongly encourage you to update to System 10.1.3. The
performance is outstanding compared to OS9. I have had 2 system wide
crashes in 6 months...that sure beets the 10 crashes a day that I was having
on Macs and Windows machines I was using before. It is hands down the best
GUI based operating system out there.
