Indeed, however, I still suspect that this is in fact a Mac OSX / Carbonised
plugin issue rather than a PC / PS7 issue. I sure hope I am not misinforming
through ignorance here.

I know that they were holding off development to some extent, as they have
been burnt by those 'little' revisions that take you from version x.0 to
version x.01 before  ;)

Still, I must contribute to this discussion more completely by prioritising
my purchase of PS7(.0000) ;)
