I posted the original message about a new Epson 860. Glad I didn't throw the printer away. The Lyson inks probably did badly clog the color cart nozzles initially. But as my original post indicated, the test patterns were finally coming out fine. The real issue was getting prints that were much, much too light from what I saw on the screen. The Lyson site suggested working in ColorMatchRGB and to avoid sRGB. I was in sRGB and have been working in ColorMatch. Virtually all problems have been solved as I refine my work flow. My biggest issue now with the Lyson QB neutral set is the magenta cast. If anyone has suggests on this, I would like to hear them. I have been using Epson PHoto Paper & Epson Premium Glossy with the setting as photo paper. Lyson recommends for glossy using the glossy film setting. I'll give that a try. best Rick Schiller
