OT: changing Marketing Preferences at Yahoo

2002-04-30 by Sam A. McCandless

Evidently Yahoo's "server problem" was just that it's too busy: I
happened to be up at four this morning and got through to their
Marketing Preferences page. It showed me as not wanting any "third
party" promo. But it also, as has been said, had "yes" checked for a
long list of various kinds of promo from third parties via Yahoo. And
below that, a chance to get unsolicited snail mail and phone calls as
well. Alarmed that they even had that information, I tried to change
it. But landed on a form which was blank rather than showing what
they already have unless that's nothing. I left it blank.
