RE: [Digital BW] 1290 and VM-curves! Give up???

2002-05-02 by Paul Roark

Bo,

As soon as MIS has it's 1290 set up and can supply densitometer readings,
I'm ready to help. However, I have not heard from MIS. I'll send a copy of
this e-mail to them.

The VM curves clearly are very printer-specific. They are also platform
specific. However, I'm going to try some where I sacrifice the slider
controls and use "No Color Adjustment." If that makes them not platform
specific, it might be a way we can support more machines with less work.

Paul

Please - do I have to use Piezo3000 when I love
  the Paul VM- "old one"!

  Windows!!!Not Mac!!!

I have not the time - not the real scill - to get it right with
the non - US model of of the 1280 - the all over the world 1290
I have. It works with the 1280 - driver - but don't dare to - after
leaving that one for warrenty reparation.
(They asked if I used the right driver the second time - can they see
that by analyzing the BIOS of that printer. End up with General
Fault - RED LIGHTS ONLY!) Two times - if I have to send it next time -
I think Epson tells me something!!!)

Please MIS - Please Paul - toghether there are more 1290's than 1280'
  i guess!

Do I have to buy a MAC - they are good - but I want that money for a
second hand Epsy 7000. (I have three 1290's - good profit for Epson -
worth every penny! Dye/Archivel color/ and quad B/W - all CFS)

Soon this printer will be replaced by the new on???
Or will it live like the 1160?

Is the new modedel of the Epsy A3+ printer CFS -ready?
Can anyone out there veryfy the new Epsy ink - or give a hint?
