RE: [Digital BW] Thank you all!

2002-05-06 by Doug Fisher

Hey Peter -

Just wanted to let you know I am setting up a similar system over the next
few days. Any hints, tricks, or pitfalls you can warn me about would be
great.

I tried to buy a new 1160 from Australia and Europe but couldn't get anyone
to ship, so I had to buy a refurbished one. In the end, it cost about as
much as a new 1280/1290!

Doug

Yesterday I set up an Epson 1160 printers with MIS VM ink and CIS. This is
my
first go at quadtone printing, and the first few prints give me great hope.
I am
really looking forward to learning how to do this well.

I was even moved to write a little piece on my web site:

My thanks to everyone here for generously sharing what you know. I have
learned
a lot from you all.
