It seems to me that an important piece to this discussion that has been ignored is that the rarity, or whatever you want to call it, that exists in the "traditional" silver print is, to a large degree, an artificial scarcity. It is created through the editioning of prints - essentially a promise by the artist (or dealer) to the collector to limit production of a piece, regardless of demand, hence creating value. There is no reason why the same market dynamics cannot apply to inkjet prints. Rik
