This post won't help the original poster but I have to agree with Julian. I'm using the MIS FS inks now on a 1280 printer with the Piezo driver and all I can say is that it worked "right out of the box". No adjustments, no nuthin'. As others here on the list have indicated I just could not deal with the incessant Cone ink clogging problems. MIS printed perfect nozzle checks the first time and I have yet to show a clog. To be fair, only about 3 weeks so far. The only difference I can see thus far is when I hold a MIS print next to an older Piezo ink print. The Piezo ink (aged about a year) print has a decidedly brown cast to it. In comparison, probably because it's next to the Piezo print, the MIS print looks neutral. (I am using the standard FS ink, not the FS-N.) So I don't know what's up with the 1160 printer. As I said, I wouldn't be of much help here. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@y..., "Julian Thomas" <julianthomas@t...> wrote: > Bernd, don't forget that MIS has adjusted the density of the inks slightly > form when you and I first switched over!
