Andre, The 1160 has smaller dots than the 3000. Thick papers are also said to be a problem on the 3000, but I don't use them. I'm making some new curves for the 3000 and the VM-Sepia-Neutral inkset now and have it nearly perfect except for some fine grain at about 65%. The real question is whether you need the print size that only the 3000 can reach. If not, the 1160 is probably the way to go.
