<div class="moz-text-flowed" style="font-family: -moz-fixed"> Ok, I've
now got the S9000 back up and running...
First review of the Lyson Fotonics in it is very promising...
On Ilford Smooth Galerie Paper, the color balance is roughly the same as
that of the OEM inks.. BUT, I think the GAMUT is broader, colors are
definitely more saturated at the default. Once I profiled the paper and
Inkset together, the images are just gorgeous...
If these inks last the 5-6 times display life of the OEM inks (as
claimed by Lyson)... They will be a GREAT option.
Combined with a CIS/CFS, not only would I get prints for 1/6 the ink
cost, they would be longer lived, AND I might even have a broader GAMUT...
If I find any metamerism, etc., I will note it immediately..
If I needed longer life and could bear a reduced gamut, I would have
gone with the Lysonics instead.
So far, I seem to have picked the right Lyson products and the right
pigment-based MIS products for my needs.. PHEW!
