That sounds like a fine idea to me. When I shipped 13X19's, I first 
used a 13X19 EAM box, then wrapped cardboard around it to make a new 
pouch. I initially shipped one inside the other, but since have gone 
to a homemade box. Then I can custom fit it for any size. Just make 
sure that the cardboard is pretty heavy. These are pretty reusable 
too.
