I don't own a CFS yet, but I've talked with them quite a bit and have 
previously owned CIS units.

I was told I could buy the system uncharged, and charge it with any 
ink I chose. You'd just need the vacuum kit, about $25 I think. Bob 
might have told me he was planning on offering fully charged quads in 
future, but I'm not sure.

Um, go to the what's new section of the MIS site and you will see that 
they are taking pre-orders for a new easy chip resetting box called 
the f-16, which resets both chips at once from the parallel port, 
independent of any computer. You can be running Mac windows, whatever- 
or not even HAVE a computer.  it does the reset without the computer 
needing to be connected. It costs $45...the We-Ink folks for some 
reason have picked it up and are selling it for about $55 I 
think<shrug>.

Getting the cart lid with the MIS rib modifications I hear is a really 
good idea, and possibly an advantage over the nomorecarts CIS. Anyway 
check it out, it will keep your carts seated, as I hear.
