I too used some Eclipse but was not that impressed. While it has a nice finish it was lacking a little depth that I get from Hahnemuhle torchon and photo rag. One good thing though was the price is better than Hahnemuhle. Bill The Eclipse paper did great in the torture chamber -- slightly better than EAM but probably not significantly so. However, the blacks on Eclipse were not at dark as EAM's blacks at the start or after the fade test. They did not fade more (a problem with some other papers that otherwise do well on fade tests). So, while I use Epson Archival Matte as my standard paper, some will argue that it's wood-pulp base, even if lignin-free (which Epson tells me it is), may be less desirable than a cotton/rag paper for purchasers who want the very best long-term storage. Lignin free, wood-pulp-based paper can be archival, but cotton is said to be the most pure natural source of cellulose and has historically been associated with the best long-term storage. Thus, customers may insist on a cotton or "rag" paper. It is for these people that I would probably recommend the Eclipse paper. Brightcube Eclipse Satine is represented at being "Made of 100% cotton fiber, acid and lignin-free." Paul
