But I ain't got your eyes. I doubt I could either, I was converting to sRGB which had much more of it than AdobeRGB, and it was on patches not grads. My eyes aren't that good. If anything I would think dithering might make grads artificially smoother, like adding noise to color banding problems. However all that ever did for me was leave me with color bands with noise. I was just not thrilled with seeing PS inject non image tones into my file, I felt somehow violated, shamed, no longer pure. Would I have to rescan for a virgin file? This all started with the potential problems with converting to sRGB from 2.2 gray, among other things. Actually I don't even remember. Well, I have laundry to do. Make a print. Tyler
