paper slipping

2002-07-01 by Bill Agee

Have been using some heavy coated paper...Hahnemule Photo Rag 308 in
the 1270 with MIS inksets. After the first cartridge went through,
it seems the platen or whatever the intake wheels are called is
starting to slip and I have to take each sheet and give it a nudge to
go through. I suspect that the culprit is the coating put on the
paper to keep the ink from soaking in.

Any suggestions on how to clean the paper intake mechanism and wheels
to get it back going again on it's own? I set the paper setting to +
(plus) to allow for this thick paper.
