Let's suppose that what McKenzie is seeing IS something wrong with the greyscale conversion built into PS6? If Adobe fixed the bug in the upgrade to PS7, it IS possible that the PS6 workflows may be compensating for a conversion bug we didn't know was there... Assuming, arguendo, that Adobe addressed and fixed this bug in PS7, the workflows could create posterization simply in compensating for a conversion issue that is no longer present.. Anyone, using the workflows and curves with PS5 or earlier? Right now we are all shooting at a target that's moving and correcting our aim based on end results... It's like not knowing whether the aim is being knocked off by wind or a curve in our barrels.. What we need is a straight answer from Adobe as to whether PS7 has a greyscale bug, or, if they fixed a conversion bug that existed in PS6... Comments?
