I would suggest calling Colorbyte tech support or emailing them at main@.... Their tech support is excellent and very responsive. They will also be able to give you pricing info. You will have to ask them about the dither...the "new" dither is the only one that I've seen and I've been using the program (for the mac) for the last 6 weeks. if the version that you received has BW support then you need to select a BW profile under color management (e.g., ep3000_MISFS_paperetc.) and then when you go to print hit the set up button and make sure that you have selected a BW inkset. You also should make sure that your file has an embedded profile (preferably for Gamma 2.2) and that you are "applying" it (bitmap tab under the color management menu item). My guess is that they have not made any BW profiles for the 3000...but that's just a guess...most of the effort in BW has been at the desktop printers and the 7000 because that's where the interested customers have been. Offering 3000 support should be trivial for them...but its possible that the 3000 will not give great results because of the large droplet size. My guess would be that the piezoBW software will give better results for the 3000...just like the piezo driver beats the epson driver.
