RE: [Digital BW] To CFS or not to CFS...

2002-07-11 by Jim Panzer

You sound like your making the same amount of prints I make a week, maybe
even more at this time.. :( Anyway, I love this system, and it's really
easy to set up in my opinion. I am running the MIS VM and I blew through
the pre-filled carts in no time, this way is much cheaper. The only thing I
have noticed that happens more then it did with the carts is that it seems I
get a bad print nozzle pattern more often, which usually results in me doing
a head cleaning or two to clear it. I mean almost every day or two, but I
do live in the deserts of Arizona and it is 114 degrees here now so maybe
the dryness has a lot to do with it, maybe in a more arid region this
wouldn't happen as much. Anyway, if you plan on making prints long in to
the future I would say definitely go with the CIS. I am sure people on this
list can give you a lot more technical reasons to go with it then I did.

Jim

I am considering switching over to a CFS system from MIS, as
hand filling carts is driving me into a beserker rage. I do not have
a high volume output, but make at least five prints a week. Am I
just opening up a world of pain going into CFS for low volume
production?

Best, Jamie.
