RE: [Digital BW] Ilford papers - any tried them?

2002-07-12 by Jim Panzer

I have used the Ilford Gallerie Pearl with my VM inks and I get weird
results, if you look at the print from a certain angle, bigger areas of
black tend to turn in to one big block, like a cell shading look. I spray
it with Krylon UV spray and that keeps it from having the blocky effect but
still looks funny, I wouldn't try it with these inks.

Has anyone tried any of the Ilford Gallerie papers with quadtones?

Any of them work - glossy, pearl?

(I'd love to have even just one glossy paper that worked with out having to
spray it, or it smudged etc - even if it didn't last for ever!)
