I have a 15" as well and brightness does drop off more than the 17". I suspect that the new 23" Cinema is the same technology as the 17". One other observation is that if you figure out the ppi on the screen the 15 and 22 are about 85ppi but the newer 17 and 23 are close to 100ppi. Roy
