Howard, I've never seen vm-sepia prints done with the 1200. In the Files section <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint/files/> you can see the sample vm-s test strips that were printed with the 870 vm curves. Follow the path to Files > Ink Sets > MIS > MIS Variable Mix > MIS VM Neutral-Sepia. With that printer, the standard curves worked well. On most I find that some tweaking is needed, especially for the neutral end of the range, which uses the "warm" curve. Great setup, works like a charm (knock on wood). I finally need to start replacing the ink (I don't print that much black and white; mostly color) and am evaluating switching to the VM Sepia inkset, the reason being that I print 90% of my images using the MW curve. I'd like more variations on the sepia tone. Does the VM Sepia inkset work with the same curves? Thanks, Howard [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
