I can't tell you how many top professionals have stated in print that scanned images ALWAYS need at least a little sharpening. Make the sharpest scan you can. Make a 16x20 print. Run the image either through KPT equalizer at about 300 Percent, or unsharp mask about 5 times at 125 percent. Make another 16x20 print.
